Once-off licence FAQ

Do I really own the software forever?

Yes. Once you purchase a lifetime licence, the software is yours. It will never stop working, never ask for a subscription, and never expire. You own it exactly like you own a physical product.

What happens when SARS changes VAT rates or tax tables?

Your software continues working with the rates it came with. When SARS makes changes (e.g. new tax year rates, VAT adjustments), we release an updated version. You can upgrade at 50% of your original price to get the new rates, or update them manually in Settings → Tax Rates. Most small businesses upgrade once a year around March when the new tax year starts.

Can I install it on multiple computers?

Each licence covers 1 PC. Solo = 1 user on 1 PC. Pro = 2 users on 1 PC (e.g. you and a bookkeeper sharing one office computer). Business = 5 users on 1 PC. If you need it on a second PC, contact us — we offer a second-device add-on at 40% of the original licence fee.

How is this different from the monthly subscription?

Monthly subscription gives you always-updated software as long as you pay. Once-off licence means you pay once and own the version forever, with 1 year of free updates included. For most SA small businesses, the once-off licence pays for itself within the first year and costs nothing after that.

Can I upgrade from Solo to Pro or Business later?

Yes. Pay the difference between your current licence and the higher tier. Your data transfers completely. Contact us on WhatsApp at +27 82 082 9050 and we'll sort it out same day.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Instant EFT (FNB, ABSA, Standard Bank, Capitec, Nedbank), credit/debit card (Visa & Mastercard), SnapScan, Zapper, Capitec Pay, and Ozow — all through PayFast, South Africa's most trusted payment gateway. We also accept direct EFT and will email you banking details on request.

Is there a trial before I buy?

The monthly subscription includes a 30-day free trial — use that to test the software fully before deciding to buy the once-off licence. Once satisfied, purchase the lifetime licence and your data from the trial transfers across.

What if I need help setting it up?

Business Lifetime includes a dedicated onboarding call. Pro and Solo customers get WhatsApp support at +27 82 082 9050 — Mon–Fri 8am–5pm SAST. We also have full video guides and a help centre.
